  • The song has existed since the recordings of Silent So Long. Translation for the interview picture (thank you to Jeremie Vasseur):
Arnaud about "War"
Thank you to Emigratefans

Which song ignited, or actually reignited this process?
Wow! That, that's a difficult one...
Arnaud Giroux: I would say it's "War", a title which dates back to our New Yorker time and which doesn't appear at all on Silent So Long. We will find it on the next album, it makes no doubt. It's a song which I instantaneously loved. Everything pleases me, the lyrics, the music... Everything!

Lyrics

Album version

We're burning at the stakes now
Our angels from afar
Have come to live in ghost towns
Built homes of blackened char

I've seen the messengers
But they were not for me
They said we're black witches
Part of an industry

War - this is what it sounds like
War - cries are syncronized
War - this is what it sounds like
War - to keep us terrified

We keep the cameras rolling
So we can televise
All we have been controlling
To keep you mesmerized

Market the right explosions
Just like celebreties
Commercialize religions
And their inequities

War - this is what it sounds like
War - cries are syncronized
War - this is what it sounds like
War - to keep us terrified

War - this is what it sounds like
War - cries are syncronized
War - this is what it sounds like
War - to keep us terrified

War - this is what it sounds like
War - cries are syncronized
War - this is what it sounds like
War - to keep us terrified
