Pre-orders for the album went live on 11 November 2022 along with promotional texts still mentioning Till Lindemann and in the tracklist, which was later removed. The feature was then confirmed by a Dutch show host on 7 December 2022, who uncovered the taped name on the tracklist of the vinyl sleeve.
On 12 February 2024, it was discovered that the title song Child of Sin had been taken off streaming services. On 1 March 2024, it was replaced by a slightly altered version of it instead.
