It is 4 o'clock. A man sits silently in a room without a window and listens to the crackling of a neon tube. The man is sitting there voluntarily, he is in a good mood. In four hours, he will be on stage with a band like Die Ärzte, Die Toten Hosen or so on the stage and play in front of a real audience, just as he has imagined it as a child. For all that was, his imagination was not enough. Some things you do not believe until you have experienced them. Some do not.
Flake already read a small part of it during his reading in Berlin on 17 January 2017. According to some fans who were there, the book was originally called Butternutte.
The book was translated into Russian and released in Russia on 14 May 2018.[1] Its artwork was made by Den Zozulya.[2]
It's The World's Birthday Today
The book was translated into English and was released on 11 August 2020.[3] The release of the English book has been pushed back a few times. First it was supposed to be released on 11 February 2020, which was changed to 9 June 2020 and ultimately to 11 August 2020.
Exclusive to the book publisher, Rare Birds, is a signed copy of the book. It includes one extra page for Flake to sign, which is missing in every other version of the book. Additionally it also includes two 12" vinyls, which features Flake reading a fragment from the book in both English and German. The book was first shipped without the vinyl, which had production delays. To inform the buyer about that, Rare Birds sent out the following e-mail:

The vinyl audiobook, as many of you may be wondering, is slightly delayed because of manufacturing issues related to COVID-19. However, we will be shipping all vinyl audiobooks to preorder customers in separate shipments as soon as they are available—likely late October or early November 2020.
Also, we're excited to announce for the first time that Flake is, under very special circumstances, narrating this limited-edition abridged vinyl audiobook himself, which should be a treat for everyone—or at least to the lucky ones who have ordered (or will order) before it sells out.

This version of the book has a misprint on the spine. It incorrectly writes the title of the book as It's The World Birthday Today. Also the cover has a few variations online. The released cover is with the book title in turquoise and Flake's name is embossed and printed with silver foil. Online variations include his name in turquoise, grey or pink.

Information
The audio book is read by Flake himself. It comes in a lift off-box, including seven CDs in plastic sleeves and a booklet. Unlike with his other audio book for Der Tastenficker, this reading is complete.
