Connection to Rammstein

  • One of the first albums Flake bought when the wall came down was from KMFDM, and he still listens to their music today[1].
  • In autumn 1997, KMFDM were supporting Rammstein during the German leg of their Sehnsucht Tour.
  • A few months later, Rammstein were supporting KMFDM during their "Symbols" tour.
  • The same year, TVT Records released the split single Megalomaniac / Engel to promote the movie Mortal Kombat Annihilation.
  • Frontman Sascha Konietzko remixed Du riechst so gut on the single Du riechst so gut '98.
  • Ex-guitarist Günther Schulz also remixed the song on the same single. He also contributed the "FKK Remix" to the single for Stripped.

Connection to Emigrate

In 2003, Richard Kruspe, Oliver Riedel, Till Lindemann and Sascha Konietzko formed the new music project Emigrate[2]. All of them except Richard left before anything was released.
