Origin: | Berlin, German Democratic Republic |
Active: | 1983 - 1993 |
Genre: | Punk Rock |
Die Firma was a punk-band from Berlin, active from 1983 to 1993.
Information
The band was first named "Firma Trötsch".
A concert of the band on 17 October 1987 became legendary, because it was the first time that about 20 or 30 Skinheads were showing up at a public event in the German Democratic Republic. They shouted things like "Sieg Heil!" and "Deutschland, Deutschland!" and started beating up people in the audience randomly.[1] It seems like they played that show together with the still active band Element of Crime.[2]
In early 1992, Paul Landers was given the option from Die Firma to either leave them or leave Feeling B because they wanted to have more time together. Paul wanted to stay in Feeling B, so he left Die Firma as a guitarist. Richard Kruspe then replaced him[3], where he played until the end of the band.
Discography
The band released many demos and live tapes, also one album. Here are only the ones, where it is 100% sure, that at least one Rammstein member is on:
