Messer is the first book by Till Lindemann. It contains 54 poems and pictures by Jens Rötzsch of Till posing next to youthful plastic mannequins.

Information
The idea of releasing a book with Till's poems came in early 2002 by both Gert Hof and Till.[1] All poems were written in between 1995 and 2002 and chosen among over one thousand other ones.[1]

Usage
- The poem Weißes Fleisch off the Rammstein book was reworked into Nele.
- An excerpt of the poem Tod nach Noten was used in the booklet of the album Rosenrot.
- The poem Sautod was reworked into Waidmanns Heil.
- A few lines of the poem Nele were used in the song B********.
- All poems were re-released in the book Die Gedichte. All untitled poems got titled in that book. The titles used in Messer consisted of the first lines of each poem respectively.

- Ich sehe eine Sternschnuppe -> Dein Fleisch ist ein...

- The poem Nebel got edited in the last line of the first verse and was re-released in 100 Gedichte.
