Information

  • On 17 September 2021 a teaser for its music video was posted, revealing the release date.[1]
  • Richard says about the song:[2]

Originally it was supposed to be a James Bond number - I thought I'd write the next James Bond soundtrack. [...] At some point we were sitting with Rammstein in France and had a discussion about suicide. I get a lot of messages about Emigrate, but also Rammstein: people tell about their lives and that the music helped them to carry on somehow. Sometimes that's very dramatic; sometimes I don't know what's true and what's not. [...] Many people know these feelings. That's why I really wanted to write a song about the thought of leaving, not dealing with life anymore and not having the strength for it. That was the reason for me to write this song.

  • The bass on this song was played by Ufo Walter.

Lyrics

Album version

I've seen you how you pray
A night full of mistakes that you never sing aloud
I hear you celebrate
Like the debts and lonely beds that copulate

You can't run away and hide again
So don't you die today
Alone
Forgive you

You can't run away we'll try again
So don't you die today
Noone can take your place over

I feel you suffocate
In hands that hide your face like a grave you carry around
I'll meet you half the way
This old friend takes you in from away

You can't run away and hide again
So don't you die today
Alone
Forgive you

You can't run away we’ll try again
So don't you die today
Noone can take your place over

You can't run away and hide again
So don't you die today
Alone
Forgive you

You can't run away we’ll try again
So don't you die today
Noone can take your place over

There's no one
There's no one
There's no one
You're the only one
