Herzeleid Tour
The Herzeleid Tour was the first actual concert tour by Rammstein. It is named after the band's debut album, Herzeleid, which was released on 25 September 1995. The tour had an uncertain number of concerts, so far 113 ones are confirmed (110 without the label showcases, TV performances and special shows), the first one being on 8 August 1995 in Berlin and the last on 14 December 1996 in Bonn. Tickets to the concerts cost between 15 and 38 DM for headline shows and between 22 and 89 DM for festivals. During the tour, apart from the songs released on Herzeleid, each of the following appeared on the band's setlists at least once:
- Feuerräder
- Schwarzes Glas
- Azzurro
- Sehnsucht
- Alter Mann
- Tiefer gelegt
- Sonne (not to be confused with Sonne from Mutter)
- Spiel mit mir
- Tier
- Bück dich
- Bestrafe mich
Most of these songs received significant changes throughout the years since their earliest known live performances.
The first actual concert of the band was on 24 March 1994 in Leipzig, it was a part of the "Club tour" (note that the name "Club tour" is made up, it is not known if the tour actually had any name), which was not a coherent tour and should not be considered a part of the Herzeleid tour. The Club tour is generally a very obscure period of Rammstein history, many concert dates remain uncertain, while some are completely unknown. Before and during the tour the band composed the early versions of the songs that subsequently were finished and released on Herzeleid or, in the case of Alter Mann, on Sehnsucht, as well as some songs, finished studio versions of which were never released, these are:
- Jeder lacht (some lyrics were later recycled for Adios from Mutter)
- Unknown instrumental song
- Tier (not to be confused with Tier from Sehnsucht)
- Schwarzes Glas
- Tiefer gelegt
- Feuerräder (demo was released on the single Engel (Fan Edition))
- Wilder Wein (demo was released on Engel (Fan Edition), finished live version appeared on Live aus Berlin)
In case of the unknown instrumental song, Tiefer gelegt and Wilder Wein, it is not known for certain if the band actually ever played them live during the tour. The last known concert of the Club tour was on 27 May 1995 in Leipzig.
