Background
- This song has existed since the recording sessions for Reise, Reise and Rosenrot.
- It was premiered during the pre-listening session for Reise, Reise. A German magazine released only the lines "Mein Herz schlägt für Metall, Eisen gibt es überall".
- In March 2004 it was found in the GEMA database, where its length was listed as 5:24. The first two lines ("Mein Herz schlägt für Metall, Eisen gibt es überall") were listed as well. Later that month the German magazine "Sonic Seducer" published a tracklist of the 4th album, where Eisenmann was listed as the 3rd and last bonus track.[1] As of today, it has been removed from GEMA.
- In November 2005 Flake said in an interview that the song was finished, but the band did not really like it, so they decided not to release it on Rosenrot.[2]
- The song was reworked and re-recorded during the recording sessions for Liebe ist für alle da.
- In 2012 the 3:28 version of the song leaked, alongside the other LIFAD demos.
- There is a fake demo around, where a fan added some extra guitars.
