XXI is a compilation by Rammstein, which includes all six previously-released albums and a special bonus LP, not available anywhere else. It was released on 4 December 2015.
On 2 December 2015, a competition was held where fans were asked about their favourite Rammstein song. The winner was able to win the XXI box number 6, with a written dedication by the band.[1]
All albums are remastered and pressed on 180g 12" vinyl.
In Spieluhr the last chorus is re-arranged vocally, making it begin with the second part and therefore repeat it twice consecutively.
The transition between Rein raus and Adios is removed, due to the vinyl separation.
Adios is missing the high pitched sound at the beginning of the song.
The first verse of Nebel is missing three guitar harmonics.
Reise, Reise
In the promotional video, the cover for the album was a little different.
The band name is embossed on the cover.
The hidden track Flugzeuglärm is missing on the vinyl.
The transition between Dalai Lama and Keine Lust is removed, due to the vinyl separation; additionally the cymbal fade-in is cut off earlier as well.
The guitar on the intro and before the third verse of Los is audible (although quieter) on the right channel, whereas it's usually panned to only the left channel.
The transition between Amerika and Moskau is removed, due to the vinyl separation.
During Stein um Stein, one of the vocal takes of the line "ich schaffe dir ein Heim" comes in earlier, not syncing up with the other take. Also, the "ramm" from the third verse is repeated twice during the break.
Rosenrot
The band name is embossed on the cover.
The ship at the end of the CD booklet is missing in the LP booklet.
The lyrics of Spring and Rosenrot are switched on the booklet pages, now following the tracklist order correctly.
The first and third chorus of Benzin are re-arranged vocally, moving two of the "Benzin" shouts to the following part.
Spring includes an additional, previously unreleased line in the bridge.
The outro of Stirb nicht vor mir (Don't Die Before I Do) fades out faster.
All the female background voices and shouts on Te quiero puta! are removed, the female main vocals on the bridge are done by a different singer and the outro fades out faster as well.
Liebe ist für alle da
Despite the songs not being on the album, Donaukinder and Roter Sand (Orchester Version) are included in the credits. However, they're also both credited correctly on Raritäten.
The labels of the album were only slightly changed, as they now show longer credits.
Raritäten
The mistake saying that the single Links 2-3-4 was released in 1998 is also on the credits of the vinyl itself.
The ending of Feuerräder has some reverb added after the cut.
The intro of Das Modell is replaced by a copy of the outro in shorter, omitting the catwalk noises and Mathilde Bonnefoy's announcement completely. However, she's still credited on the tracklist of the vinyl.
The bridge of Stripped is extended like on the album version, yet has a shorter last chorus to match the single version's runtime.
Donaukinder has an extended bridge, is replacing the guitar solo with an additional chorus, which has the children choir sing the "Wo sind die Kinder" line without Till, has a different synth during the last chorus and the outro fades out slower.
