Promotion

Just like the previous single Du riechst so gut, Seemann received very little promotion. As a promotional item, the single was sent out in a card sleeve, with a different cover, which also included a promo sheet by Motor Music.

23.01.96 München, Terminal/ 24.01.96 Offenbach, Stadthalle/ 26.01.96 Bonn, Biskuithalle / 28.01.96 Berlin, Huxley (sic!) neue Welt/ 29.01.96 Hamburg, Docks/ 30.01.96 Hannover Capitol
und auf der eigenen Headliner-Tour im Februar:

English Deepl translation

With their sensational mixture of danceable, strongly EBM-heavy grooves, brilliant metal guitars and emotionally charged lyrics, RAMMSTEIN achieved a breakthrough right off the bat at the end of last year. Their debut album "HERZELEID" made it directly into the TOP 80 of the German sales charts, despite the threat of Christmas sales, and is still in the TOP 10 of the German Alternative Charts. But that's not all: RAMMSTEIN is music that needs to be discovered in all its diversity, and the steady album sales are a sure sign that more and more people are doing just that. After the first single release, "Der Riecher", which was number 3 in the DAC (Rock Club) charts for weeks, the second single, "Seemann", has now followed. By RAMMSTEIN standards, "Seemann" is a quiet and at the same time beautiful ballad, which was gladly belted along loudly by the audience at the concerts in December. RAMMSTEIN will again give the opportunity to sing along live in the support of the Ramones on the following days:
23.01.96 München, Terminal/ 24.01.96 Offenbach, Stadthalle/ 26.01.96 Bonn, Biskuithalle / 28.01.96 Berlin, Huxley (sic!) neue Welt/ 29.01.96 Hamburg, Docks/ 30.01.96 Hannover Capitol
and on their own headlining tour in February:
25.01.96 Eppelheim bei Heidelberg, Jugendzentrum/ 27.01.96 Braunschweig, FBZ/ 16.02.96 Riesa, FBZ/ 17.02.96 Markneukirchen/Vogtland, Schützenhalle/ 18.02.96 Dresden, Starclub/ 21.02.96 Wilhelmshaven, Pumpwerk/ 22.02.96 Nordhorn, JZ Scheune/ 23.02.96 Gera, Clubzentrum Comma/ 24.02.96 Leipzig, Haus Leipzig/ 25.02.96 Frankfurt/Main, Batschkapp/ 26.02.96 Freiburg, Jazzhaus/ 02.03.96 Cottbus, Glad-House/ 03.03.96 Potsdam, Lindenpark

The promotional sheet also shows a different name for the Timewriter Rmx, as it is titled Seemann (Timewriter RMX) on it. But the CD of the promotional release already calls it Rammstein In The House (Timewriter Rmx).

Misprint

The tracklist of the single shows a length of 04:10 for Der Meister, but on the single itself it has a length of 05:10, which is because of 1min of silence at the end of the track.

The promotional single and the retail CD both have the same misprint on the CD itself: they show a length of 05:00 for Seemann, but neither do actually include such a version.

Tracklist

  1. Seemann - 04:48
  2. Der Meister - 05:10
  3. Rammstein In The House (Timewriter Rmx) - 06:24
