Mann gegen Mann is the third single off the album Rosenrot by Rammstein. It was released on 3 March 2006.
Information
Formats
The single was released in four different formats: jewel case, digipak and 12" vinyl. Benelux countries got an exclusive card sleeve release.
The jewel case and digipak had the same tracklist, with two remixes and a live video of "Ich will", which was taken from the, then upcoming, DVD Völkerball. The card sleeve and 12" vinyl both included only two tracks and had a different tracklist. Also a digital only download of the "Type O Remix" was available, which is not available on any physical release.
Promotional releases had a differing tracklist from one or two songs. Most promotional singles included only the title track. But the UK promotional singles on CD and 12" vinyl had a different tracklist from two songs. Both releases included the "Futurist Remix", which is not available anywhere else.
Remixes
The remixes for this single were contributed by Vince Clarke (ex-Depeche Mode), Alec Empire (Atari Teenage Riot), Sven Helbig and Josh Silver (ex-Type O Negative).
Promotion
The artwork for the promo CD and promo vinyl was designed by Plantage. Alongside the UK promo CD and UK promo vinyl (12"), a 'press kit' consisting of a pin-badge, a beer coaster, and a box of matches (all baring the Mann gegen Mann logo) was released.
