Vergiss uns nicht is the second song on the single Mein Land by Rammstein.

Background

• This song has existed since the recording sessions for Reise, Reise and Rosenrot.
• In March 2004 it was found in the GEMA database under the title Hin und her with the length of 4:36. Subsequently, the title was changed to Vergiss uns nicht.
• In 2005 the band recorded a version of the song featuring the German rapper Bushido.
  • Rammstein asked Bushido if he could do a feature on one of their songs. Since Bushido had already worked with the band before (Bushido created the remix Amerika (Electro Ghetto Remix)), he instantly agreed. He met the band in a beer garden, where they talked about the song. A few days later he met Richard in his flat in Berlin. They agreed on two rap verses. Bushido started recording his verses in the bathroom. After he recorded them multiple times, Richard's computer crashed without saving the recordings, thus they had to start from the beginning. The recording process took all day. The song was planned to be released as a bonus track on a "best of" album. Up to now, this version has not been released.
• As of today, GEMA still lists the 2004 version of the song, but under the title Vergiss uns nicht.
• Flake played the song in his radio show Die Sendung on 9 March 2021.
