• The song is based on a story called "Die gar traurige Geschichte mit dem Feuerzeug".
• In March 2004, the song was found in the GEMA database, where it was listed with the length of 5:00, the lines "Ich war ganz allein zu Haus, die Eltern waren beide aus" were also mentioned. Later that month, the German magazine "Sonic Seducer" published a tracklist of the 4th album, where Hilf mir was listed as the first track. Subsequently, the tracklist was dismissed, and the song was released only on Rosenrot with the length of 4:44.
• Flake played the song in his radio show Die Sendung on 14 July 2020.
