Herzeleid Tour
The 1994 version of the song had a much longer synth buildup intro before the others joined in. The amount of times that "Laichzeit" was yelled also differed, and the word "nicht" of "Ihn anzufassen wagst du nicht" would not be sung. Richard and Paul would provide background vocals for the "Laichzeit" yell.
In December 1995, a drum buildup intro was played before Flake would join in, the guitarists would follow. Till would hit his knee during the instrumental breaks in between the verses, sometimes in his signature "Till-hammer" style, but sometimes whilst just standing up as well. When nearing the end of the song, the guitarists would play the same riff, but slower each time.
From January to March of 1996, a short guitar strum was performed before the synth intro started. On 10 June, a standard synth buildup intro was used again for the performance. Schneider would quietly hit the hi-hats of his drum set, before hitting the actual drums and the guitarists would again join in later. The intro would be changed again in July. The guitarists would start to play a bit during the intro, but would stop again after Flake started speeding up synth intro and continue playing afterwards. When performed at festival, Till would be present at the center of the stage from the beginning of the intro, and when flake started his keyboard intro, he would launch two fireworks that were attached to his arms. Till would also move his arms corresponding to the synths at the start of the song before he started singing. On 27 September, some explosions went off under grates on the stage, causing flames to burst out of them after the intro was played.
Sehnsucht Tour
On 9 April 1997, the song's performance remained the same as before, without any special effects. The intro returned to its original synth version. From May to August, the song's performance would remain the same for indoor venues, while festival performances would now have Till use a big bow with sparkling fireworks attached to it after the intro. On 28 June a launching firework was used, replacing the middle sparkling firework of the bow.
The song would be taken off the setlist for the first time in September, and it would not return until November. During this time, the sparkling bow was used for Du riechst so gut. This change would be permanent, with Laichzeit again lacking any special effects for the rest of the year.
In 1998, the performance once again did not change for indoor venues. Festival performances, however, did see another change. With the sparkling bow no longer used, multiple confetti-filled explosions would now go off after the song's intro. On 22 August 1998 and 23 August 1998, an explosion went off in the lighting rig after the intro, which also started a confetti cannon located at the center of the stage, mounted by Till.
In 1999, after the intro was played, Till would make a thrusting motion with his arms and a minor explosion would go off on stage.
The song was performed once in 2001, on 18 January. The song was, once again, performed without any effects, and Till said farewell to the song on stage.
