Roter Sand is the eleventh song on the album Liebe ist für alle da by Rammstein.
Background
- According to Paul, the original version of the song called Liese, was written by Olli, Till and Flake after they had drunk a bottle of red wine. Liese was later reworked into Roter Sand with the input of the other band members.[1]
- The whistle on the song is done by Jenny Rosemeyer, Flake's wife.
Trivia
- A ship in the movie Amundsen der Pinguin is called "Roter Sand".
