Adios is a song by Rammstein. It is the tenth track on the Mutter album.
Background
- The chorus re-uses the first three lines of the song Jeder lacht.
- Part of the second verse is from the poem Musik, released by Till in his book 100 Gedichte.
- The guitar solo noticeably resembles the first part of the guitar solo from Jeder lacht.
- "Bop bop shu bop" can be heard between the verses. The band wanted to imitate a typical Rock'n'Roll choir.[3]
- iTunes labeled the song Adiós.
- The song uses a sample from the 61st track on the "Datafile Two" sample library by Zero-G.
- In an interview, Flake described a demo version of the song, Alles wird nass, as "very sweet, but not a hundred percent on point".

Mutter Tour
An early version of the song was performed on 16 April 2000. This version had an extended intro, but differed mostly in the fact that all lyrics except for the chorus, were different.
During the song's performance, Flake would not be present at his keyboard, but rather at a snare drum located at Olli's normal spot. Due to this, Olli would be standing in front of the keyboard for the duration of the song. Flake would also be wearing an apron to protect his outfit from the splashing liquid of the drum. At the start of the first verse, Till would often slap against the inner side of his arm, mimicking injecting it with a needle, referencing the lyrics. The same goes for the end of the first verse, where Till would grab his stomach during the line "Ein Heer marschiert durch seinen Darm". Till would sometimes perform similar gestures at random throughout the song.
After the first refrain, a short instrumental break would follow, sometimes preceded by Till gesturing the others to stop playing. Richard would then start playing a guitar solo shortly after this break with an effect attached to his guitar. For the first couple of shows, up until 19 May, three green, strobing fireworks would be going off that were attached to his guitar. From 22 May onwards, Richard's guitar would instead have flames coming out from the top as well as the side. During this time, Flake would also be drumming while lifting his legs in an exaggerated way. On the last refrain, Paul and Richard would provide backing vocals. Till would let the audience sing the line "Doch er ist nicht aufgewacht" during the first few concerts.
The light show during this tour would usually be green and white.
